What Is Take Profit Trader?

Take Profit Trader is a Florida futures firm whose selling point is payout speed: PRO accounts can withdraw on request after the Test, and the PRO+ upgrade pays daily. The Test is a single phase with a dollar profit target, a daily loss limit and an end-of-day trailing drawdown.

The firm is mid-sized, its rules are clearly written, and its 80% base split is below the futures norm unless you take PRO+.

How the Take Profit Trader Challenge Works

  1. Subscribe to a Test at $25,000 to $150,000.
  2. Reach the target over at least five days without breaching the daily loss limit or trailing drawdown.
  3. Move to a PRO account; withdraw on request. Upgrade to PRO+ for daily payouts and a 90% split.
  4. Scale contract limits with profit.

Challenge Options

  • One-step Test, monthly fee

Challenge Fees

Monthly from about $150 for $25,000 to about $360 for $150,000; discounts common. Discounts are common across the industry; the fee guide explains how to compare them, and FrugalFX tracks current offers.

Profit Targets

$1,500 for $25,000 up to $9,000 for $150,000. The ratio between the target and the maximum loss is the best single measure of how hard a challenge is; the profit targets lesson explains why.

Drawdown Rules

Daily loss limit: Daily loss limit applies in the Test; removed on PRO accounts. Maximum loss: Trailing from $1,500 to $4,500 by size, end of day. Drawdown type: Trailing (end of day). A trailing drawdown follows your equity peak, so profit raises the floor; the guide on static versus trailing drawdown explains what that does to a strategy with wide open swings. Read the drawdown rules guide before paying for any evaluation.
